Hey guys, I was wondering if there is a way to do gui animated backgrounds on the current T3D kit.

ie:
login screen with a background image and adding sprites or mesh objects etc.. for static animation to make it loook 3D.

other will be to load a static mission scene in the background of the gui.


I was looking a GuiObjectView since it seems to be used by the kit to show the character mesh while creating the new charater, but unfortunately it does not work on the current T3D kit.


is the GuiObjectView enabled on T3D kit yet?

was doing some research on GG forms and found some other controls that may work ie: AVIBitmapCtrl, gui2DObjectCtr

but tried to ued them and nothign seems to happen.


I was wondering if they are functional on the current T3D kit?


if you have any work arounds of ideas on how to do this will be greatly appriciated.

The guiObjectViewer needs to be reported to work with T3D and the mesh code. We have it done in the repop, just not in the kit yet. That and getting a new patching system.

will the guiObjectViewer and the new patching system be implemented on the new release of the kit V1.1 beta?

also, you know a way to load some sort of sprites into the gui or to load a mission as a background on it?
or is it necessary to use the guiObjectViewer to get this done?
